Your purchase will add to the planting of Mangrove trees in Madagascar. This reforestation project helps revive natural habitats, improve coral reef health, support local livelihoods and fights against climate change by extracting co2 from the atmosphere.
Globally, mangrove systems are estimated to hold an astounding 20 petagrams of carbon. For a biome representing less than 5% of the world’s terrestrial area, this makes mangroves one of the most important carbon stocks, even more than many rainforests like the Amazon. Equally, as a relatively fast-growing group of species, mangroves sequester carbon at a very fast rate.

Packaging Policy - Reuse or Recycle
As a small company trying to do our best to reduce our own impact on our environment, we have introduced our own 'Shipping Packaging Reuse' policy.
We feel that as both a business and end consumer, far too much good, reusable packaging goes to be recycled (or worse still straight to the bin), when it can be reused.
We therefore as a company will undertake to reuse packaging we receive from our own suppliers and purchases etc, when it is in a good enough condition to do so.
If the packaging is not in a good enough condition for reuse, it will be recycled, as far as facilities allow.
This reuse can include outer cardboard boxes, paper wrap, void fill and bubble wrap etc.
We will only use new packaging when no suitable existing packaging exists. In such instance we will endeavour to purchase only recyclable products, including eco cardboard boxes, non plastic void fill (corn-starch) and paper wrap, and mailing bags manufactured from recycled products.
Unfortunately due to protection some products may require during shipping, it may not be possible to currently escape plastic bubble wrap where a suitable alternative is not available.
We encourage all our customers to 'reuse and recycle' all the packaging that they receive.
